5 Reasons I’m Thankful

With Thanksgiving upon us, I have 5 reasons I’m thankful. In reality, I am thankful for many more things, but these are my top 5. This is a great time of year to stop and take stock of the previous 11 months of the year, and give thanks for where I’ve been and what I’ve accomplished. In December, I’ll start planning for where I want to go in the next year. For now, I am thankful for the following:

1. Great clients

I am fortunate to have great clients, both for Margo Myers Communications and for the Springboard Academy. Great clients are defined by their willingness to try new ideas, by being responsive, by being engaged and helping me find the right solution for their needs. I like clients who treat me as part of their team, whether it’s for a one-time project, or a long-term working relationship. I truly appreciate my clients!

2. Smart people

I meet so many wonderful and smart people through my businesses, as well as my volunteer opportunities with Seafair and WSU. I am thankful that I can learn from them, and soak up new information and ways of doing things. The world moves at a fast pace, and I rely on smart people to bring me up to speed on the next big thing, or offer up a different vantage point. Just because ‘we’ve always done it this way’ doesn’t mean it’s always the best way.

3. People who ‘do’

Quit talking about it – just do it! People who take action and get things done in a timely manner are highly appreciated by me. Enough said.

4. Family and friends

The support of family and friends is invaluable. I have a wonderful supportive family, and a large circle of friends who are quick to offer support, ideas, help, and words of wisdom. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to do everything I like to do – both professionally and personally.

5. Health

Good health is something for which I’m thankful. I have several friends who have gone through health challenges in the past months, and without good health, it’s hard to accomplish much of anything. It’s a good reminder to be kind to yourself, give yourself a mental break every once in awhile, and remember to take care of yourself physically, too.

These are my top 5 reasons I’m thankful this Thanksgiving. What are your top 5 reasons you’re thankful? Give yourself a moment to reflect on those things, and let those around you know how much you appreciate them.

Wishing you the happiest of Thanksgivings!
