Local EntrepreneurHonored by President Obama as ‘Champion of Change’

SEATTLE, Washington – Jennifer Donogh, co-owner and Director of Operations at cloud services company Ovaleye LLC, is a newly named ‘Champion of Change’ by the Obama Administration. Donogh, 26, created and now leads Young Female Entrepreneurs, an online support group and incubator for entrepreneurial women in their 20s and 30s. Donogh is set to visit the White House for a roundtable discussion on Thursday, August 18.

The Champions of Change program is part of President Barack Obama’s ‘Winning the Future’ initiative, as he recognizes Americans who are doing extraordinary things to out-innovate, out-educate and out-build the rest of the world. Donogh, along with other young CEOs and entrepreneurs, is being recognized for her work and passion to create jobs and opportunities for female entrepreneurs. YFE acts as a sounding board, a place for discussion, networking, and inspiration.  Monthly meetings take place online through Ovaleye Web Conferencing. YFE is also host to #YFEchat on Twitter and posts frequent blogs and podcasts.

“I am honored to be highlighted as a Champion of Change as a young entrepreneur,” said Donogh. “I’m thankful for the opportunity to share the work I’ve done with Young Female Entrepreneurs, as well as the experience I have had in building Ovaleye alongside my partners.”

The Office of Public Engagement and White House Policy Offices will host and participate in a discussion with the Champions of Change honorees, promoting best practices. Donogh will also be featured on the White House website blog. Champions of Change will gather Thursday from 3 – 4:30pm in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building at the White House.

Donogh wants to inspire other young entrepreneurs to live their dreams.“I hope my example will inspire young people to take ownership of their lives,” said Donogh. “Awards like this simply highlight the many opportunities available to them today.”
